New Tools

This post is so over due, however it seems like a good time to talk about some of the new tools that are available to us. The DRF has the new Ticket Maker. This new tool that Steve Crist created based on his methods that he originally wrote about in his book Exotic Waging. It is how he builds multiple tickets for either the pick 4 or the pick 6. I played with it when he first released it and it seemed to get the job done. Once you have rated your horses its pretty simple. You will not need a college degree to use it and it certainly does what its supposed to do.

-Moss pace Figs and his new blog are featured on the DRF home page. Moss has stated he is trying to tackle the synthetic tracks and has made some progress in this area. It appears he is available to his users who have questions about his figs via his new blog. I have not used these figs only because I subscribe to a full service software company that offers figs based on a different methodology. If your not currently not using pace figs these seem to be a great source to start with or if you make your own it may save you some time.

-Steve Davidowitz has updated his book BETTING THOROUGHBREDS FOR THE 21ST CENTURY. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for some new information and an over all book covering handicapping for 2009. He covers so many topics and does a great job with up to date information.

-Dan Illman's Trip Handicapping DVD is not brand new but it is on sale at the DRF website till the end of the month. If you have not seen this it will improve the way you watch your replays, and live racing. He goes into what you should be searching for whether it be a dream trip or traffic trouble,Dan covers what you might have missed with out a trained eye.
