Cary Fotias

-I have no doubt that most serious handicappers already know who Cary Fotias is, if not I’d like to introduce him. Cary is the Founder/President of Equiform, a company that produces The Xtras & The Shorts. The Xtras and The Shorts provide superior information on how to evaluate a horse’s form/ability. Cary is also the author of Blinkers Off, a book that explains his product. I personally prefer the Shorts and have had tremendous success using them. From the very first weekend. Their information assisted me in making my top selection. The horse was an overlay (12-1).
-Which brings me to another thought, whenever I’ve had a question I have called the office and they were more than willing to guide me in interpreting their products.
-I invested in Equiform’s Breeder’s Cup Teleconference and again the information proved to be invaluable. I’m not suggesting that their products are magic. You still need to know how to handicap and make your own decisions and invest with sound money management in mind. But it has been my experience that Cary has created a superior product with the Xtras & The Shorts. If you are looking for an additional tool/edge: http://equiform.com/

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Well, when I flew out of Fort Lauderdale Airport on Monday morning it was 76 degrees out. When I hit the ground at Baltimore Washington International it was bone-chilling 25 degrees with a light snow falling. If I wasn't sure that I had made the right decision before, I was now convinced that I had. As I stood outside staring at the grey sky and waiting for the bus to take me to long-term parking I already missed being there!

_The decision that I'm referring to is that while I was in South Florida I found a house to rent so I can enjoy the weather and have year-round racing and two nice tracks within 25 minutes of where I will live. So, I'm back temporarily to pack up some things and head south for sunny Florida.

_As for the picks I attempted to give out over last weekend I'm sorry they didn't work out the way I had hoped. I also noticed I will have to make some adjustments in my handicapping.

_I always play from home and rely on my computer for everything from Equibase Replays to my Virtual Stable. I was a little out of my element just looking over the Form the morning of racing in between looking for a house that would accept my 100 lb Rottweiler. I am looking forward to being at the meet and I'm hoping this will improve my game and give me the chance to really get to know my local tracks. Here's a replay of The Sunshine Millions Classic a race that I did not wager on because ... I just didn't have time to handicap and was not prepared. _Not being organized and prepared sure did cost me on Sunday, while I was dealing with the realtor, I later realized that I missed Discreet Treasure who paid $20.80 taken the 8th and he was in my stable.
